A family based in Abu Dhabi is looking for a qualified and experienced Nanny / Governess to support the care, education, and daily development of their two daughters aged 3 and 9, both of whom are in school. This is a wonderful opportunity for a childcare professional with a strong academic background—ideally holding a BA (Hons) in Childhood Studies—who genuinely enjoys helping children learn, grow in confidence, and develop healthy routines in a warm, structured environment.
The role is well-suited to someone who is proactive, organised, and confident working independently while also being part of a family team. During school hours, the focus shifts toward child-related organisation, planning, and preparation for the children’s activities and development. The family values a hands-on, engaging approach that balances education, play, and emotional wellbeing. This is a live-in position with relocation support and visa sponsorship available, offering a stable long-term opportunity in a supportive household.
Responsibilities:
Support the educational development of both children through engaging, age-appropriate activities
Assist with school routines, including preparation, drop-offs, and pick-ups when needed
Organise daily schedules, extracurricular activities, and developmental plans
Arrange playdates and encourage positive social interaction
Maintain healthy routines, including meals, rest, and structured daily habits
Provide homework support and educational guidance for the older child
Manage all child-related organisation while the children are at school
Encourage independence, confidence, and positive behaviour
Support the children’s emotional and social development
Travel with the family when required and provide continuity of care
Ensure a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment at all times
Requirements:
BA (Hons) in Childhood Studies or a related field strongly preferred
Previous experience as a Nanny, Governess, or Early Years Educator
UK or EU passport holder (required)
Confident swimmer and comfortable around water/boating activities
Willingness and flexibility to travel with the family
Strong understanding of child development and educational frameworks
Professional, warm, and highly organised approach
Experience working with school-aged and preschool children
Excellent references from previous childcare roles
Position Details:
Schedule: 5.5 days per week, typically 6:45am–6:00pm
Salary: £5,500+ per month, depending on experience
