A private family in Belgravia, SW1X, is looking for an experienced Educational Nanny to support the development and learning of their two children, aged 6 and 1.
The main focus will be the 1-year-old, so the family is looking for someone who understands early years development and can create a thoughtful, stimulating programme around the child’s interests, abilities, and developmental stage. The nanny will plan daily activities that encourage language, communication, movement, coordination, curiosity, and early problem-solving skills. Books, storytelling, music, sensory play, creative activities, puzzles, and outdoor exploration should form a natural part of the child’s week. The nanny will observe the child’s progress and introduce new activities as their skills develop, while allowing plenty of time for independent exploration and child-led play.
The role also includes supporting the 6-year-old through educational activities, reading, homework, and age-appropriate projects when needed. School runs will be part of the routine, so the nanny will also support the older child before and after school.
The family would like someone who can bring their own educational ideas and understands how to make learning engaging rather than overly structured. Strong communication with the parents is important, particularly around the children’s progress, interests, achievements, and areas where they may benefit from additional support.
The position is Monday to Friday for 50 hours per week. The salary is £55,000–£65,000 per year, depending on experience.
