A family in South Kensington, SW7, is seeking a warm, reliable, and experienced after-school nanny to care for their three children, aged 6, 8, and 10. This is a part-time position for four days per week, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The role will involve shared care with one parent, although the nanny must be fully confident taking sole charge of all three children when needed.
The nanny will collect the children from school and take them to their after-school activities, clubs, playdates, and local outings as required. Homework supervision will also be part of the role, along with preparing simple meals and helping the children stay organised for the following day. This includes preparing school uniforms, clothes, and anything else they need for the next morning. The family would also like the nanny to spend time outdoors with the children, including trips to the park and other age-appropriate activities.
Flawless English is essential, as English is not the children’s first language and they require additional language support as part of their daily routine. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be patient, encouraging, and confident when supporting the children with their English. The family is looking for someone proactive and dependable who can establish a good relationship with the children while maintaining clear boundaries and a calm approach.
Candidates must hold a valid Paediatric First Aid certificate, Enhanced DBS, and have the right to work in the UK. The successful candidate must also be a non-smoker.
