The older child will start kindergarten this fall, so the role will include school drop-off and pick-up as well as care for the younger child during the school day.
The nanny will be responsible for keeping the children safe and well cared for while creating a fun and active daily routine. The family would like someone who enjoys getting the children outside, visiting local parks, reading, playing, and planning simple activities that keep them engaged throughout the day. The nanny should be happy to take initiative and make the most of the children’s time together rather than relying on screens or passive activities.
Clear and proactive communication with the parents throughout the day is important, with regular updates about the children’s routine, activities, and anything they may need to know. The role will also include preparing meals and snacks, managing naps and daily routines, and keeping the children’s play areas and belongings tidy.
A valid driver’s licence is required, and the family would preferably like someone with their own reliable car. Mileage will be reimbursed for work-related driving.
