A private family in Kuwait is seeking an experienced Governess / Early Years Nanny to support the care and development of their delightful 2-year-old son on a long-term basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a childcare professional with a strong early years background who genuinely enjoys helping young children learn through play, exploration, and everyday experiences. The family is looking for someone who can combine nurturing, hands-on childcare with an educational approach, creating an environment where their son feels secure, confident, and excited to discover the world around him.
This role is ideal for someone who understands that the early years are a crucial stage of development. Alongside providing exceptional daily care, you’ll encourage the child’s emotional, social, and cognitive growth while naturally introducing English through conversation, play, stories, and routines. The family is open to candidates applying from overseas and is offering a comprehensive relocation package.
Responsibilities:
Provide attentive, full-time care and supervision for a 2-year-old child
Support age-appropriate developmental milestones through engaging daily activities
Introduce and develop English language skills through conversation, games, books, and play
Plan creative, educational activities that encourage curiosity and independent learning
Foster emotional, social, cognitive, and physical development
Establish consistent routines that promote healthy habits and positive behaviour
Create a safe, organised, and stimulating environment for learning and play
Encourage confidence, independence, and good manners
Communicate regularly with the parents regarding developmental progress and daily routines
Work with professionalism, discretion, and respect for the family’s privacy
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Governess, Nanny, or Early Years Educator
Strong knowledge of early childhood development
Fluent English speaker
Warm, patient, energetic, and genuinely child-focused
Professional, organised, and highly discreet
Experience creating educational activities for toddlers
Open to relocating to Kuwait
EU passport preferred
Excellent references from previous employers
Position Details:
Start Date: ASAP
Schedule: 5 days per week, 7–8 hours per day
Accommodation: Live-in or live-out available, depending on candidate preference
Salary: €5,000–€8,000 net per month, depending on experience and qualifications
