A bilingual family in Nashville, Tennessee is seeking an experienced Head Nanny to lead the care and coordination of their four children, ranging in age from newborn to 6 years old. Working alongside dedicated parents and a team of nannies, you’ll help ensure every day runs smoothly while creating a structured, nurturing environment where the children can thrive.
This role is ideal for someone who is naturally organized, calm under pressure, and confident managing multiple moving parts without losing sight of what matters most, the children’s wellbeing. The family is looking for a discreet, collaborative professional who can maintain consistency across caregivers, encourage positive behaviour and good manners, and support the children’s bilingual upbringing. Fluency in Spanish is essential, as Spanish is spoken both at home and within the children’s school community. The position offers the flexibility of either live-in or live-out accommodation and includes domestic and international travel with the family.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily care and coordination of four children, from newborn to 6 years old
Manage the children’s schedules, routines, and day-to-day activities
Work closely with parents and supervise coordination across the nanny team to ensure consistency of care
Reinforce positive behaviour, independence, and good manners
Drive the children to school, activities, appointments, and outings
Prepare healthy meals and snacks for the children
Complete children’s laundry and keep wardrobes organized
Purchase children’s clothing, supplies, and other essentials
Plan children’s birthdays, celebrations, and special events
Manage the family calendar and coordinate children’s schedules
Perform light housekeeping related to the children
Collaborate closely with household staff to maintain a well-run home
Oversee vehicle maintenance and ensure family vehicles are serviced as needed
Grocery shop and coordinate household deliveries
Schedule vendors and appointments related to the household
Travel domestically and internationally with the family, maintaining routines while away
Support the children’s Spanish language development through daily communication
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Head Nanny, Senior Nanny, or Household Manager within a private family
Experience caring for children from infancy through early school age
Fluent Spanish and English
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
Professional, discreet, and confident working in a fully staffed household
Comfortable coordinating multiple caregivers and household schedules
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Flexible and available for domestic and international travel
Excellent references from previous employers
Legal authorization to work in the United States
Position Details:
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00am–7:00pm
Salary: $130,000–$150,000 per year (paid on payroll)
