A first-time family based in Newport Coast, California is seeking an experienced Full-Time Infant Nanny to provide exceptional care for their 6-month-old baby. The family is looking for a confident nanny who keeps up to date with modern childcare practices and is happy to offer guidance and reassurance to first-time parents, becoming a trusted and valued member of the household.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for all aspects of the baby’s daily care, including maintaining consistent feeding and nap routines, preparing bottles and age-appropriate meals as the baby progresses through weaning, planning stimulating developmental activities, and supporting key milestones through nurturing, play-based learning. The role also includes managing all nursery duties and accompanying the family on occasional travel.
Requirements:
Extensive experience caring for infants, ideally from birth to one year.
Previous experience working as a professional nanny in a private household.
Strong knowledge of current childcare practices, infant development, and developmental milestones.
Confident supporting first-time parents with advice and guidance when appropriate.
Able to establish and maintain consistent feeding, sleeping, and daily routines.
Passionate about creating engaging, age-appropriate developmental activities.
Happy to undertake all nursery duties.
Flexible to work additional hours and travel with the family when required.
Warm, professional, proactive, and highly organised.
This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, with 8-hour working days, although flexibility is required for additional hours and travel when needed.
