A UHNW family based in Austin, Texas is seeking an exceptional Mandarin-Speaking ROTA Nanny to join their established childcare team and care for their two young children, aged 1 and 3. The family is looking for someone who can provide nurturing, developmentally focused care while naturally supporting the children’s Mandarin language development through everyday interactions.
Working alongside experienced nannies and household staff, you’ll help maintain consistent routines, encourage early learning, and create a warm, engaging environment where both children can flourish. This role is ideal for someone who is collaborative, adaptable, and comfortable traveling with the family both domestically and internationally. The successful candidate will be proactive, calm under pressure, and committed to delivering the highest standard of childcare while working as part of a professional household team.
Responsibilities:
Provide exceptional care for two children aged 1 and 3
Speak Mandarin with the children to encourage bilingual language development
Support developmental milestones through engaging, age-appropriate activities
Maintain consistent daily routines for meals, naps, learning, and play
Plan enriching activities that promote creativity, independence, and social development
Prepare healthy meals and snacks for the children as needed
Travel with the family on domestic and international trips, ensuring continuity of care
Work collaboratively with the family’s existing childcare team and household staff
Maintain clear communication with parents regarding routines, milestones, and developmental progress
Ensure the children’s environments remain safe, organized, and well-prepared
Requirements:
Fluent or native Mandarin speaker
College degree, preferably in Early Childhood Education or a related field
Previous experience working with infants and toddlers
Experience working in UHNW, VIP, or high-profile private households
Comfortable working within a fully staffed household environment
Previous domestic and international travel experience with families
Professional, discreet, flexible, and an excellent team player
Outstanding references from previous employers
Legal authorization to work in the United States
Position Details:
Schedule: Two Weeks On / Two Weeks Off (ROTA)
Salary: $150,000 per year
