A private family in Orinda, California is looking for an experienced Chinese-Speaking Nanny to care for their curious and active 2-year-old child. The family is hoping to find a nanny who will naturally speak Chinese with their child, helping foster bilingual language development while creating a fun, nurturing, and engaging environment. The family is seeking someone with a background in child development or early childhood education who can thoughtfully support developmental milestones through age-appropriate activities and hands-on learning experiences. Responsibilities:
Provide loving, attentive care for a 2-year-old child
Speak Chinese with the child throughout the day to encourage bilingual language development
Plan engaging, age-appropriate educational activities and interactive play
Support developmental milestones through play-based learning
Establish and maintain consistent daily routines for meals, naps, and activities
Take the child to local parks, classes, and community outings using the family-provided nanny car
Prepare healthy meals and snacks for the child
Keep the child’s play areas, toys, and belongings clean and organized
Communicate regularly with parents regarding milestones, routines, and daily updates
Foster independence, confidence, and positive social development
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week
Compensation: $40–$45 per hour, depending on experience
Requirements:
Fluent or native Chinese speaker
Background in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or a related field preferred
Previous professional experience caring for toddlers
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Comfortable driving the family-provided nanny vehicle
Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certification
Warm, reliable, proactive, and highly organized
Excellent references from previous nanny positions
Legal authorization to work in the United States
