First-time parents based in Lower Manhattan are seeking an experienced and compassionate Newborn Care Specialist to support them with their baby, due in early December. This live-in position is offered on an 8–12 week contract and is ideal for a professional with extensive newborn experience who can provide expert guidance and reassurance during the early weeks of parenthood. The role involves managing all aspects of newborn care, including feeding, establishing healthy sleep routines, settling and soothing techniques, monitoring developmental progress, and ensuring the baby’s overall wellbeing. The successful candidate will be confident sharing practical advice with first-time parents, helping them build confidence while maintaining a calm and supportive presence in the home. A strong understanding of newborn development, safe sleep practices, and infant care is essential, along with excellent communication skills and a nurturing approach. Compensation starts at $40+ per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
