A lovely family based in Rushcutters Bay, Sydney is seeking an experienced and nurturing Nanny to provide dedicated care for their newborn baby. This is an excellent opportunity for a childcare professional who genuinely enjoys the infant stage and understands the importance of supporting a baby’s development through attentive care, consistent routines, and meaningful engagement. The family is looking for someone who can confidently guide the early months and create a calm, stimulating environment where their baby can thrive.
The ideal candidate will have strong newborn experience and a good understanding of developmental milestones during infancy. Beyond day-to-day care, the nanny will help introduce sensory play, interactive activities, and age-appropriate experiences that encourage healthy development. The family values a proactive approach and would love someone who enjoys attending baby classes, supporting routines, and helping keep baby-related areas organized. This is a long-term role offering a consistent Monday to Friday schedule with a welcoming family.

Responsibilities:
Provide attentive, developmentally appropriate care for a newborn infant
Establish and maintain healthy feeding, sleeping, and daily routines
Support developmental milestones through interactive play and engagement
Introduce sensory activities and age-appropriate learning experiences
Attend baby classes, playgroups, and developmental activities
Create a nurturing and stimulating environment that encourages growth and exploration
Monitor and communicate developmental progress with parents
Handle baby-related laundry and wardrobe organization
Maintain the nursery, toys, clothing, and baby supplies in an organized manner
Assist with light household support related to the smooth running of the home
Keep detailed communication regarding routines, feeding, naps, and daily activities
Requirements:
Previous professional experience caring for newborns and infants
Strong understanding of infant development and age-appropriate activities
Warm, patient, and highly attentive approach to childcare
Proactive and organized with excellent communication skills
Comfortable supporting routines and developmental milestones
Excellent references from previous childcare positions
Must be legally authorized to work in Australia
Overseas applicants requiring visa sponsorship will not be considered
Position Details:
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–6:00pm
Compensation: $35+ per hour, depending on experience
