A family based in Blackheath, London is seeking an experienced Italian-speaking nanny to care for their two children, aged 3 and 1. The family is looking for someone who can naturally incorporate the Italian language into daily life, helping to support the children’s language development through conversation, play, and everyday routines.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning engaging age-appropriate activities, organising outings, and accompanying the children to local classes and community activities. The role also includes supporting daily routines, including naps, mealtimes, and developmental play, while encouraging the children’s independence and social skills. The family values a nanny who is proactive, creative, and confident managing the needs of two young children while maintaining a calm and structured environment.
In addition to childcare responsibilities, the nanny will prepare healthy meals for the children, manage children’s laundry, and ensure their bedrooms, play areas, and belongings remain organised and well maintained.
This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 5:30pm and offers a salary of £45,000–£47,000 per year, depending on experience.
Requirements:
Fluent Italian speaker with strong English communication skills
Proven experience caring for toddlers and young children
Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate activities
Experience planning educational play, outings, and local activities
Ability to support Italian language development through daily interaction
Confident preparing healthy meals for young children
Willingness to undertake all nursery duties, including children’s laundry and organisation
Valid Paediatric First Aid qualification (essential)
