A private family based in Scarsdale, New York is seeking an experienced ROTA nanny to care for their toddler in a fully staffed household. This is a highly attractive 1 week on / 1 week off schedule, ideal for a professional nanny who is passionate about child development and enjoys providing thoughtful, hands-on care. The family spends summers in the Hamptons and travels between residences throughout the year, so they are looking for someone adaptable, organized, and comfortable supporting a child through changing environments and routines.
The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Education, Child Development, or a related field, along with 2–4 years of professional childcare experience and strong toddler expertise. The family values a nanny who understands how to balance nurturing care with purposeful learning opportunities, creating days filled with exploration, play, and meaningful developmental experiences. This role is open to candidates currently based in the Tri-State area who are seeking a long-term position with excellent compensation and benefits.
Responsibilities:
Providing attentive, developmentally appropriate care for one toddler
Planning engaging activities that encourage learning, creativity, and independence
Supporting social, emotional, cognitive, and physical developmental milestones
Managing daily routines, including meals, naps, outings, and structured activities
Preparing healthy meals and snacks for the child
Maintaining a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment
Organising and maintaining the nursery, toys, clothing, books, and child-related supplies
Supporting smooth transitions between the family’s residences throughout the year
Traveling with the family when required and ensuring consistency in routines while away
Communicating regularly with parents regarding developmental progress and daily activities
Working collaboratively within a professional household environment
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree preferred (Education, Child Development, or related field)
2–4 years of professional childcare experience
Strong hands-on toddler experience
Exceptional organizational and communication skills
Ability to travel and adapt to multiple residences
Candidates must be based in the Tri-State area
Schedule: 1 Week On / 1 Week Off (ROTA)
Location: Scarsdale, NY (Summers in the Hamptons)
Accommodation: Provided while on duty
Compensation: $140,000–$160,000 annually
