A family in Westwood, CA is looking for a thoughtful and experienced SEN nanny to support their child, who has autism, ADHD, and sensory processing differences, with a calm and understanding approach to after-school care. They’re hoping to find someone with a background in childcare, education, or behavioural support, someone who genuinely “gets it” and can step into the child’s world with patience, consistency, and empathy. The role focuses on guiding the afternoon and evening routine, from helping with the transition home from school to supporting homework, planning engaging but manageable activities, preparing meals, and creating a smooth, reassuring wind-down toward bedtime. A big part of the role is helping the child regulate emotions, recognising sensory needs, and sticking to established routines and strategies that help them feel secure. The family values clear, open communication and is looking for someone who can work alongside them as a team. The position is Monday to Friday from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Hourly rate is $35–$45 per hour depending on experience.
