A family in Toronto, Canada is seeking an experienced ROTA Nanny to care for their two toddlers in a nurturing, development-focused home. The family follows RIE, Waldorf, and Montessori philosophies, so the ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of respectful caregiving, child-led learning, and play-based education. This role is perfect for a thoughtful, engaging nanny who can foster independence, creativity, and emotional intelligence while managing the children’s full daily routines.
Responsibilities include all general nanny duties such as planning age-appropriate activities, supporting developmental milestones, preparing children’s meals (in coordination with the family’s full-time chef), and maintaining tidy, organised play and bedroom areas. Child-related housekeeping tasks such as children’s laundry and dishes are also required.
Both parents work from home, so the nanny should be confident working collaboratively within a staffed household environment that also includes a housekeeper. The family would love a French and/or Spanish speaker to help introduce and support second language learning through natural conversation and play.
This position operates on a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off rota schedule and can be offered on a live-in or live-out basis. A car will be provided for professional use while on duty. The family is offering up to $40 per hour, depending on experience.
Visa sponsorship is not available. Only candidates with the legal right to work in Canada will be considered.
