Lithuanian-speaking Nanny – Upper East Side, Manhattan
A private family based on the Upper East Side of Manhattan is seeking a professional Lithuanian-speaking Nanny to care for their 20-month-old daughter. This is a long-term, live-out position ideal for a career nanny who is confident supporting toddler development and enjoys working within a collaborative, fully staffed household.
The family values attentive, nurturing, and developmentally focused childcare. The nanny will play an essential role in fostering the child’s language development, emotional growth, and independence, with an emphasis on maintaining Lithuanian language fluency in the home.
Key Responsibilities
Provide loving, attentive, and age-appropriate care for a 20-month-old girl
Support language development in Lithuanian and English
Plan and implement engaging toddler activities that promote cognitive, social, and motor skill development
Maintain structured daily routines including meals, naps, and outings
Organize enriching experiences such as park visits, classes, and playdates
Handle all child-related duties including meal preparation, organization of play areas, and children’s laundry
Travel with the family for extended stays in Miami and throughout California for 4–6 weeks at a time, alongside a second nanny
Candidate Requirements
Fluency in Lithuanian (required)
Proven experience caring for toddlers in private households
Strong knowledge of early childhood development
Professional, discreet, and organized
Flexible and travel-ready
Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder
Authorized to work in the United States
Schedule and Compensation
Rotating schedule averaging approximately 50 hours per week
$45 per hour
