First-time parents in Lytham St Annes, Lancashire are seeking a highly experienced, confident, and proactive Maternity Nurse to support them following the arrival of their baby girl, due in April 2026. This is a wonderful opportunity for a knowledgeable newborn specialist who can provide reassurance, hands-on support, and expert guidance during the crucial early postnatal weeks.
The ideal candidate will be calm, nurturing, and highly skilled in all aspects of newborn care, helping the parents establish routines while building their confidence as new parents.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing expert newborn care from birth, including feeding support (breast and/or bottle), settling, and sleep guidance
Supporting the baby’s sleep routines and healthy habits
Offering postnatal guidance and education to first-time parents
Monitoring the baby’s wellbeing and development in the early weeks
Maintaining a calm, supportive, and reassuring presence in the home
Keeping baby-related areas tidy and organised
Working collaboratively with the parents to establish routines that suit the family
Schedule & Duration:
Initial phase: Monday – Saturday, 24 hours per day (24/6) for approximately 3 weeks
Thereafter: Reducing to 3 nights per week, for a total contract of up to 8 weeks
