An American family based in San Francisco is seeking a temporary summer nanny to support the care of their three children, aged 6–11, during their stay in central London from late June through early August. The family already employs two rota nannies who will be travelling with them, and this role will focus on additional day-to-day support within a busy and active household. The ideal candidate will be London-based, confident commuting to Chelsea, and very familiar with the city.
Responsibilities include assisting with meal preparation, children’s laundry, and organising engaging age-appropriate activities. The nanny will also escort the children to outings and planned activities, helping ensure smooth daily routines while the family is in residence. Strong local knowledge of London is essential, as the role involves planning and navigating activities across the city. There may also be travel to the South of France, with accommodation provided during any travel periods.
This is a live-out position, working five days per week, approximately 10+ hours per day, with days off that may not always be consecutive depending on the family’s schedule. Candidates must be self-employed. Compensation is up to £30 per hour, depending on experience.
