Seeking a proactive Family Assistant for a busy household in Westfield, NJ. The position starts at the end of August, with hours from Monday through Friday, approximately 12-7 pm.
Responsibilities:
– Supervision of G9, B15
– Transportation to/from school and activities
– Various household tasks related to the children (e.g. swapping out seasonal/sizing for clothing, ironing on Girl Scout badges, etc.)
– Family meal preparation
– Errands
– Children’s laundry and linens
– Tidying/organization, loading/unloading dishwasher
– Keeping up with academic and sport schedules
– Maintaining household inventory
– Walking dog (small, hypoallergenic)
– Homework help
– Planning activities for days off school
Schedule:
– Monday-Friday ~12-7, flexible on the start time based on candidate preference and their desired hourly rate
– G9 is in school until 3 pm, B15 until 2:10 pm (unless in sports season, then usually 5:30 pm)
– G9 has karate 2x/wk, acting 1x/wk, and eventually cheer in the fall/winter
– B15 is a two-sport athlete with a schedule TBD
Household Notes:
– Family has a ten-pound hypoallergenic dog
– Parents mainly work in the office but have their own dedicated workspaces should they be home
– Mom and Dad occasionally travel for work, but never overlapping

– Highly experienced in overall household management

– Excellent time management and open communication skills
– Skilled cook to make creative meals for the family
– Very safe driver with a reliable vehicle, open to driving carpool with other children and switching off drivers to minimize trips
Compensation:
– Hourly rate based on the number of hours and years of experience

Requirements:
-5+ years of household experience
-5+ years of pre-teen/teen experience
– Eligible to work in the US
– Reliable transportation
– Clean driving record and criminal background
– Fluent in English
– CPR/First Aid certified
– Dog-friendly (hypoallergenic)
