Engaging and Caring Full-time Nanny Needed in Danville!
Location: Danville, 94526
Compensation: $30-$35/hour commensurate with experience + overtime, paid sick days, holidays, and vacation days, and mileage reimbursement at the IRS mileage rate. The family is open to discussing a healthcare stipend as part of the overall compensation package.
Schedule: Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm

A wonderful family seeks an engaging, nurturing, and immediate start full-time nanny to care for their 2-year-old. The family is expecting their second child this winter and they will take parental bonding time to spend with the baby through the summer; during which care will only be needed for their two-year-old. Their oldest will start a full-time preschool program in the fall of 2024 and care will transition to caring solely for the baby in the fall.
The 2-year-old is happy-go-lucky, sweet, and an enthusiastic learner, fond of books, numbers, and outdoor walks.
Dad works from home, while Mom follows a hybrid schedule, with separate office spaces when working from home.
The family has a very friendly and sweet dog so please be dog-friendly. They have a spacious backyard in a very flat and walkable area.
They are ready for someone to start as soon as possible. They value longevity in previous positions and would love to work with someone long-term who can grow with their family.
Ideal Candidate:

Someone punctual and reliable is crucial and a priority for the family.
They would love to work with someone who is an excellent communicator and a strong team player, valuing open dialogue for consistent and collaborative care.
Please be comfortable working alongside the parents during the parental bonding period.
Proficiency in a second language is advantageous but not required.
Duties:
Engage the child in creative play and stimulating activities tailored to their learning interests.
Assist with snack preparation and mealtimes for the child.
Plan and execute outdoor adventures such as walks, library visits, and trips to the playground.
Maintain cleanliness in children’s spaces, child’s laundry, and light housekeeping.
Requirements:
At least 3 years of paid, professional childcare experience that occurred over the age of 18 (not for family or friends) with excellent references
Can make at least a one-year commitment
Current or willing to complete the current Covid vaccine
Valid driver’s license, personal vehicle, and a strong driving record
Legal work authorization in the U.S.
English fluency
