A Private Family is seeking a Full-Time Live-In Nanny to care for their newborn and provide flexible support as a mother’s helper. This role will require domestic and international travel with primary locations in Southern California, Southern Florida and the UK.
Responsibilities:
Provide round-the-clock care and attention to the newborn, including feeding, diapering, and maintaining a consistent sleep schedule.
Create a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for the baby’s growth and development.
Monitor and respond to the baby’s needs, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
Assist the mother with various tasks related to newborn care, such as preparing bottles, organizing baby supplies, and light housekeeping.
Offer emotional support and encouragement to the mother, helping her navigate the challenges of early parenthood.
Be prepared to travel with the family for extended periods. This includes packing and ensuring the baby’s comfort during travel.
Adapt to different time zones and environments, ensuring a seamless transition for the baby.
Plan and engage in age-appropriate activities and playtime to foster the baby’s physical and cognitive development.
Encourage learning through play, reading, and interactive experiences.
Establish and follow a daily schedule for the baby to provide consistency and structure.
Ensure the baby’s nutrition, hygiene, and sleep routines are maintained.
Keep detailed records of the baby’s daily activities, including feedings, diaper changes, and milestones.
Communicate any concerns or changes in the baby’s health or behavior to the parents promptly.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a nanny, preferably with newborns or infants.
Certification in infant CPR and First Aid.
Strong knowledge of newborn care and development- strong preference for individuals who embrace the Montessori education philosophy.
Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and travel requirements.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely with the parents.
A nurturing and caring personality with a genuine love for children.
Respect for the family’s privacy and confidentiality.
Experience working internationally highly preferred.
Valid Passport/Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
