We are seeking an experienced, loving, and responsible Live-In ROTA Nanny for a 10-month-old child. The nanny will work on a 2-week-on, 2-week-off rotation (flexibility with schedule with schedule dependent with candidate’s needs), providing full-time care during the on weeks. The ideal candidate will have a passion for child development, be highly organized, and able to adapt to the child’s changing needs as they grow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Primary Care: Provide nurturing, attentive care for a 10-month-old, including feeding, diaper changes, and creating a safe and stimulating environment for growth and development.
- Developmental Support: Engage in age-appropriate activities to foster developmental milestones such as tummy time, crawling, and sensory exploration.
- Sleep Support: Implement consistent sleep routines, assist with naps, and ensure the child’s overall well-being during nighttime care (if applicable during the two-week rotation).
- Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious meals and snacks for the child according to the parents’ preferences and dietary guidelines.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the child’s environment, including the nursery and play areas.
- Health & Safety: Keep a watchful eye on the child’s safety, including childproofing and ensuring safety in the home, and assisting with doctor’s appointments as needed.
- Communication: Regularly communicate with parents about the child’s progress, milestones, and any concerns that may arise.
- Flexibility: Adapt to any changes in the family’s schedule or needs during the two-week on rotation.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7+ years’ experience as a baby nurse and/or live-in nanny, with preference given to those who have worked with infants/toddlers.
- First Aid/CPR Certification: Current certification is required.
- Background Check: Must pass a full background check and have work authorization to work in US.
- References: Strong professional references from previous employers.
- Skills: Knowledge of child development, strong communication skills, and the ability to maintain a structured yet flexible routine.
- Personality: Patient, caring, responsible, and organized, with a genuine love for children and their well-being.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a ROTA nanny role (2 weeks on, 2 weeks off) or similar schedules.
- Knowledge of infant sleep training or assistance with sleep routines.
