A bustling family is in Port Washington, NY seeking an active, energetic, and proactive FT live-in nanny. The children are 7.5 years old and 4.5 years old.
They will proactively engage the children with age-appropriate activities and will be warm, loving, positive, supportive, fun, friendly, trustworthy, honest, reliable, proactive, discreet, professional, a great communicator, and seeking a long term position for many years to come.
The general schedule is approximately 7:00 am – 7:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
The day would start at 7:00am to help kids to school, downtime and light housekeeping when kids are in school till 1 pm (will be 4 pm in summer), followed by after school activities, dinner, bed etc. till 7:30 pm.
Private accommodations are provided for the nanny which include a private bedroom with a full bed, closets, and a private bath in a separate area of the house for privacy.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to everything relating to the children’s care and well-being:
- Getting the children ready for school (assist with waking them and getting them dressed and fed)
- Child-related chores, including dishes & laundry, and keeping the children’s rooms and the main spaces clean and tidy.
- Engaging and stimulating the children with age-appropriate activities.
- Assisting with homework help.
- Taking the children to classes and activities and attending playdates.
- Child related errands.
- Meal and snack preparation for the child.
- Must be experienced with cooking for those with allergies or dietary aversions. (mother and daughter have food allergies)
- Serving meals to the children.
- Restocking child-related items.
- Planning and arranging activities.
- Occasional travel with the family.
The ideal candidate will have 5 + years of relevant FT nanny experience with strong references.
Weekly salary: Approximately $1500 + (or higher) based on a 60 + hour work schedule.
