A family in Ottawa, Canada is looking for an experienced Montessori nanny to care for their 3-year-old daughter and eventually help care for their new baby, due in December. The family is looking for a warm, reliable nanny who can become a trusted part of their household and support both children as the family grows.
Responsibilities include:
Provide attentive, age-appropriate care for the 3-year-old and support the family as they welcome their new baby.
Incorporate Montessori principles into daily activities, play, learning, and routines.
Plan engaging activities that encourage independence, curiosity, and developmental growth.
Support the children’s daily routines, meals, naps, outings, and activities.
Help the 3-year-old adjust to becoming a big sister and support a positive transition for the whole family.
Provide loving, knowledgeable newborn care when the baby arrives.
Keep the children’s spaces, toys, clothing, and belongings organized.
Accompany the family on domestic and international trips, primarily throughout Canada and the USA.
Maintain the children’s routines and provide consistent care while traveling.
Communicate openly with the parents about the children’s daily routines, activities, and development.
This is a live-in nanny position requiring approximately 50 hours per week, Monday through Friday. The family travels regularly, mainly throughout Canada and the USA, so the nanny should be comfortable traveling as part of the role. Compensation is CAD $100,000+ per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
