A family in Atherton, CA, is looking for an experienced nanny for two boys, aged 8 and 10. The position is available from October. A driver is essential for this role, and the family can provide a car for use during working hours.
The position follows a split-shift schedule from Monday to Friday. Mornings begin at 7:00am. The nanny will prepare breakfast, help the boys get ready for school, and handle school drop-offs. The afternoon shift begins at 2:00pm. Responsibilities include school pick-ups, driving to sports practices, extracurricular activities, playdates, and appointments. The nanny will also help with homework and keep the boys active and entertained after school. Dinner preparation is part of the role, along with supervision of their evening routine until one parent returns home and takes over.
Morning hours are 7:00am to 9:00am. Afternoon hours are 2:00pm to approximately 6:30pm or 7:00pm. The family will guarantee 40 hours per week, even when the regular schedule requires fewer hours.
The ideal candidate will have solid experience caring for school-aged children and feel comfortable managing a busy daily schedule. A confident driver is essential, as the boys have regular activities and commitments around the local area. The family would like someone reliable, organised, active, and engaging who can take responsibility for the boys’ afternoon routine and keep things running smoothly.
The position offers $38–$42 per hour, depending on experience, plus standard benefits.
