A private family in Rancho Santa Fe, California, is seeking an experienced and nurturing Nanny to care for their three school-aged children. The family follows Waldorf principles, and the children attend a Waldorf school, so a nanny with a teaching credential or previous experience with Waldorf or Montessori education is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will understand child-led learning, creativity and a balanced approach to supporting children’s development, while bringing warmth, consistency and good judgement to the role. Childcare will be the primary focus, with some assistance with errands and other family needs during school hours.
Flexibility is essential, as the family travels regularly and the nanny must be willing and able to accompany them on both domestic and international trips. The successful candidate should be proactive, adaptable and comfortable becoming a trusted part of the family’s day-to-day life. Candidates must be TrustLine registered and verified, legally authorised to work in the United States, and hold a valid passport and driver’s licence with a clean driving record. Current CPR and First Aid certification is also required.
This is a Monday-to-Friday nanny position, with a salary of up to $150,000+ per year, depending on experience.
Candidates must be local to the San Diego area and able to commute to Rancho Santa Fe daily.
