Amagansett, NY – A family in the Hamptons, is seeking an experienced and nurturing nanny to care for their toddler and infant. Mom works from home, so the nanny should be comfortable working in a household where a parent is present during the day. The position is centered around the children’s development, wellbeing, and daily routines, with a strong focus on providing attentive and age-appropriate care.
The nanny will create engaging play opportunities and plan activities that support the children’s development, interests, and individual needs. Regular outings will be part of the routine, including library story times, trips to the park, walks, and other age-appropriate activities in the local area. The role will also include children’s laundry, keeping play areas organised, restocking diaper bags, and other light child-related tasks that help the household run smoothly. Light meal preparation for the children will be expected.
The ideal candidate will be warm, reliable, proactive, and confident caring for both an infant and toddler. A genuine understanding of early childhood development is important, and a background in Early Childhood Education is required. A valid driver’s license is also essential for this position.
The schedule is Monday to Friday, 45 hours per week. The family is offering up to $40 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Benefits include a health insurance stipend, paid PTO, and paid sick and personal days.
