A family in Shepherd’s Bush, London, is looking for an experienced RIE or Pikler nanny to care for two children aged 4 and 1. The family would like someone who has a genuine understanding of the RIE or Pikler approach and can bring these principles into the children’s everyday routine. The role will focus on warm, respectful childcare that encourages independence, confidence, and freedom to explore at each stage of development. The nanny will take responsibility for the children’s daily routines, meals, naps, personal care, and age-appropriate activities. The 1-year-old will need attentive care and opportunities for safe movement, sensory play, outdoor time, books, and exploration, while the 4-year-old will benefit from creative activities, imaginative play, reading, and opportunities to develop practical skills. The nanny should be comfortable caring for two children of different ages and creating a calm, predictable environment where both children can thrive. Time outdoors, local outings, and activities suited to their interests will form part of the weekly routine. The family is looking for someone warm, patient, observant, and confident who can follow the children’s cues and support their development without unnecessary pressure. The position is Monday to Friday for 50 hours per week. The salary is £22–£23 gross per hour, depending on experience.
