A growing family in Charlotte, NC, is looking for a German-speaking nanny to care for their 2-year-old daughter and support the family as they prepare to welcome a new baby. Mum is due in mid-January, so the role will initially be shared care with Mum. Once Mum returns to work next summer, the nanny will transition into a sole-charge role caring for both children. The family would love someone who can introduce and maintain German language skills through everyday conversation, books, songs, play, and age-appropriate activities. The nanny will handle standard childcare and nursery duties, including preparing meals and snacks, managing naps and daily routines, organising the children’s belongings, and keeping their play areas tidy. The role will also include taking the children to local activities, classes, playgrounds, and other outings, so a driver with a reliable car is required.
Some weeks will follow a Monday to Friday schedule of 8 hours per day, while other weeks will involve longer 10-hour days from Monday through Thursday. The schedule will be communicated in advance so the nanny has plenty of notice. The family is open to a flexible start date and is looking for someone dependable, warm, and confident with both toddlers and babies.
The position offers $32–$34 per hour depending on experience and qualifications, plus mileage reimbursement and standard benefits.
