A family based in Flatiron, New York City, with summers spent in the Hamptons, is seeking an experienced development-focused nanny to help care for their 2-year-old toddler and newborn. The nanny will work alongside a stay-at-home mother, supporting the children’s daily routines while creating enriching, age-appropriate experiences that encourage learning and development. The family is looking for someone who is engaging, organised, and passionate about supporting children as they grow and reach important developmental milestones.
The nanny will be responsible for all child-related duties, including maintaining consistent daily routines, planning educational activities, encouraging learning through play, preparing healthy meals and snacks for the toddler, and supporting both children’s cognitive, social, and emotional development. The role also includes keeping the children’s bedrooms and play areas organised, managing child-related laundry, and working collaboratively with the parents to provide a calm, stimulating, and loving environment. The ideal candidate will naturally incorporate teaching moments into everyday routines and be confident caring for both a toddler and a newborn.
The schedule is Monday to Friday, 9:30 am to 5:30 pm, with a competitive rate of $40 per hour. The family also offers paid PTO, paid sick and personal days, and is open to discussing a health insurance stipend for the right candidate.
