A family in San Anselmo, California is seeking an experienced Montessori Nanny to care for their two children, aged 6 and 3. This full-time position is ideal for a nurturing and proactive childcare professional with a genuine passion for child development and hands-on learning. The family is looking for someone who embraces the Montessori philosophy and can create a calm, engaging environment where both children are encouraged to develop independence, curiosity, and confidence through meaningful, age-appropriate activities. A background in Early Childhood Education is highly desirable.
The nanny will be responsible for providing developmentally focused care while managing the children’s daily routines, planning educational and creative activities, supporting learning through play, and encouraging positive social and emotional development. In addition to childcare, the role includes all child-related responsibilities, such as preparing meals and snacks, organising the children’s belongings, managing their laundry, and keeping their bedrooms and play areas tidy. Light household duties related to the children will also form part of the position, helping to ensure the home runs smoothly.
The schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, with an earlier finish on Fridays. The family is offering $35+ per hour, depending on experience.
