A family based in Brookline, Massachusetts is seeking a reliable, nurturing, and developmentally minded full-time nanny to care primarily for their infant while also providing occasional support for their 5-year-old child. Both parents work from home and are looking for a professional nanny who is confident working independently while partnering closely with them to provide the very best care. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong understanding of infant development who enjoys creating a calm, stimulating environment that supports healthy growth, learning, and exploration.
The role will focus on the infant’s daily care, including supporting feeding routines, establishing healthy sleep habits, and planning age-appropriate developmental activities that encourage physical, cognitive, and emotional development. The nanny will also assist with school pick-ups for the older child and provide support as needed after school. Child-related responsibilities include children’s laundry, cleaning and sterilising bottles, tidying and organising the nursery and play areas, and maintaining an organised child-focused environment.
This is a Monday to Friday position, approximately 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, offering $30–$35 per hour, depending on experience.
Requirements:
Previous experience caring for infants in a private household.
Strong knowledge of infant development and developmental milestones.
Confident establishing feeding, nap, and daily routines.
Experience planning engaging, age-appropriate developmental activities.
Happy to provide occasional support for a school-aged child, including school pick-ups.
Comfortable working in a home where both parents work remotely.
Willing to undertake child-related duties, including children’s laundry, bottle cleaning and sterilisation, and keeping children’s spaces organised.
Warm, reliable, proactive, and an excellent communicator.
Available to start in September or October.
