A welcoming family based in Haarlem, Netherlands is looking for an experienced and nurturing English-speaking live-in nanny to care for their two daughters, aged 3 and 5. The ideal candidate will be passionate about early years development, supporting language development through everyday conversations and activities, and encouraging a creative, screen-free approach to play and learning.
The role will involve all aspects of childcare, including organising engaging activities, supporting daily routines, preparing meals and snacks for the children, and providing light child-related household support. The family values a calm and educational approach, with a focus on independence, curiosity, and positive routines. The position includes occasional travel with the family during school holidays.
This is a live-in role, working Monday to Friday, approximately 50–55 hours per week, with weekends always free. A private living arrangement is provided, and the family offers a salary of €48,000 gross per year for the right candidate.
Requirements:
Native or fluent English speaker.
Proven experience working as a nanny with young children, ideally ages 3–5.
Genuine interest in early years development and language development.
Able to create fun, educational, and screen-free activities.
Warm, patient, and proactive approach to childcare.
Comfortable supporting daily routines and encouraging children’s independence.
Willing to assist with light child-related household duties.
Flexible and happy to travel with the family during school holidays.
Must have the right to work in the Netherlands (EU passport or valid Dutch work authorisation required).
