A prominent VIP family with residences in Riyadh and Jeddah is seeking an experienced Bilingual Governess to support the care, education, and development of a group of children ranging in age from 2 to 14 years old. Fluent French is essential, and the family is looking for someone who can bring both educational expertise and genuine enthusiasm to the role.
Working alongside a well-established household team, you will focus exclusively on the children’s wellbeing, routines, learning, and personal growth. This is not a nursery-duty position; dedicated staff handle housekeeping, laundry, and related household tasks, allowing you to concentrate on creating enriching experiences for the children. The family travels extensively throughout the year, and the successful candidate will enjoy sourcing educational outings, cultural experiences, and engaging activities that encourage curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning wherever the family may be.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily routines and overall wellbeing of children aged 2–14
Support educational development through age-appropriate learning opportunities
Coordinate academic, recreational, and extracurricular activities
Encourage positive behaviour, independence, confidence, and good manners
Monitor and support healthy eating habits and overall lifestyle routines
Arrange educational outings, cultural experiences, and enrichment activities
Source engaging learning opportunities during international travel
Collaborate closely with parents, tutors, and other household staff
Track developmental progress and communicate regularly with the family
Provide guidance and support tailored to each child’s age and individual needs
Ensure smooth daily schedules and transitions between activities
Requirements:
Fluent French speaker (additional languages are highly desirable)
Relevant qualification in Teaching, Montessori Education, Early Childhood Education, Child Psychology, or Professional Childcare
Previous experience as a Governess, Educator, or Senior Nanny
Proven experience working within VIP, HNW, or UHNW households
Strong understanding of child development across multiple age groups
Confident managing children’s educational and personal development
Flexible and enthusiastic about extensive international travel
Previous Middle East experience is advantageous
Professional, discreet, adaptable, and culturally aware
