A family in Atherton, California is seeking a full-time nanny for their two young children, an 18-month-old and a 3-year-old. The family is especially hoping to find a Portuguese-speaking nanny who can naturally incorporate language into daily life. Their eldest will be starting school in September, so the role will evolve to include school routines, drop-offs, and pick-ups as well as full care for the younger child during the day.

They value a nanny who understands how to create a balance of structure, learning, and play throughout the day. The role is live-out, with occasional travel required, and the family is seeking someone passport-ready who enjoys being part of an active, travel-friendly household.
Responsibilities:
Providing full daily care for two children (18 months and 3 years old)
Speaking Portuguese with the children throughout the day to support language development
Planning and engaging in age-appropriate developmental activities and play
Supporting developmental milestones through structured and free play
Managing daily routines including meals, naps, and transitions
Driving children to and from school, activities, and appointments (family reimburses mileage)
Preparing healthy meals and snacks for the children
Organizing children’s clothing, toys, books, and supplies
Managing children’s laundry and maintaining tidy child-related spaces
Light tidying related to the children’s areas and daily activities
Supporting smooth household routines connected to the children’s schedule
Traveling with the family occasionally and providing consistent childcare while away
Requirements:
Fluent Portuguese speaker preferred
CPR certified
Valid driver’s license with clean record and own vehicle for work-related driving
Up to date on TB, Tdap, and flu vaccinations
Passport ready and willing to travel with the family
Experience with toddlers and early childhood development
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–6:00 PM
Compensation: $40–$50 per hour (DOE)
