Private Educator – Pacific Palisades, CA (Extensive International Travel) | $150,000–$200,000 DOE | August 2026 Start

A private family based in Pacific Palisades, California is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Private Educator for their 8-year-old son. This is a full-time, live-out position with significant international travel throughout the year. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.

This role is ideal for a dynamic educator who thrives in a globally mobile environment and is passionate about delivering a high-level, individualized academic experience that extends beyond the traditional classroom.

Position Overview
Title: Private Educator (Elementary Level)
Location: Pacific Palisades, CA (with extensive international travel)
Student: 8-year-old boy
Schedule: Monday–Friday, approximately 40 hours per week (flexibility required)
Start Date: August 2026
Compensation: $150,000 – $200,000 per year (DOE)
Housing: Live-out position
Relocation Support: Provided if applicable

Key Responsibilities
Design and implement a fully customized educational curriculum tailored to the child’s academic level, learning style, and interests
Provide instruction across core subjects including math, language arts, science, and social studies
Integrate experiential and inquiry-based learning, particularly during travel
Support the child’s intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, and creativity
Track academic progress and adjust learning plans accordingly
Incorporate cultural, historical, and geographic learning opportunities during international travel
Collaborate with parents and other educational professionals as needed
Maintain structured yet flexible learning routines during travel and school terms

Travel Requirements
Extensive international travel throughout the year
Ability to maintain consistent educational programming while abroad
Flexibility to adapt curriculum to changing environments, time zones, and schedules

Ideal Candidate
Experienced Private Educator, Tutor, or Teacher with strong academic background
Degree in Education, Child Development, Child Psychology, or related field strongly preferred
Proven experience working with gifted or highly engaged elementary-aged students
Comfortable working in high-net-worth, private household environments
Highly adaptable, organized, and self-directed
Strong ability to create engaging, individualized lesson plans
Excellent communication skills with both children and parents
Experience incorporating travel or experiential learning is a strong plus
