Homeschool Teacher (Montessori / Steiner) – Stourbridge, West Midlands, UK

A private family based in Stourbridge, UK is seeking a qualified Homeschool Teacher to support the academic and holistic development of two children, aged 5 and 6 (B5 & B6). The children have been attending a prestigious school following Steiner education, and the family wishes to continue and enhance this learning approach through a personalised homeschool programme.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Montessori or Steiner-trained Teacher who is passionate about child-led learning, creativity, and experiential education. The role offers autonomy, international travel, and the chance to design an enriching curriculum tailored to the children’s interests and developmental stages.

Key Responsibilities
Design and deliver a full, personalised homeschool curriculum aligned with Montessori and Steiner philosophies
Create structured yet flexible weekly schedules incorporating:

Formal academic lessons
Project-based learning
Educational excursions and outings
Extracurricular activities
Play, games, and creative learning
Support core academic development while nurturing curiosity, independence, and emotional wellbeing
Adapt lesson plans during international travel, using new environments as immersive learning opportunities
Link learning content to the children’s interests, experiences, and surroundings
Monitor progress and adjust educational plans accordingly
Maintain a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment

Candidate Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status with PGCE (essential)
Extensive experience teaching children aged 5–6
Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Montessori and/or Steiner education
Proven experience in homeschool teaching or personalised education preferred
Confident, creative, and adaptable teaching style
Ability to plan and deliver education in varied settings, including during travel
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Based within commutable distance to Stourbridge (live-out role only)

Benefits & Package
Highly competitive salary of £1,300–£1,800 gross per week
Monday to Friday schedule (40 hours per week)
