Family in Porter Ranch is seeking a Montessori-inspired nanny who is passionate about early childhood development to care for their 2.5-year-old child. The nanny will provide attentive, developmentally appropriate care using Montessori principles. The ideal candidate encourages independence, curiosity, emotional regulation, and purposeful play in a calm, nurturing environment.
Parents work from home and value a nanny who is confident, professional, and comfortable working independently while maintaining respectful communication.
Responsibilities
Provide loving, consistent care aligned with Montessori philosophy
Prepare and guide age-appropriate activities and materials
Support independence in daily routines (meals, self-care, transitions)
Encourage language development, motor skills, and social-emotional growth
Prepare simple meals and snacks for the child
Maintain a tidy, organized play and learning environment
Communicate daily updates and developmental observations with parents
Qualifications
Experience working with toddlers
Strong understanding of or interest in Montessori principles
Background in early childhood education is a plus
Calm, patient, and respectful caregiving style
Reliable, punctual, and professional
Comfortable working in a home with work-from-home parents
Part-Time Schedule: Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Compensation: $30–$35 per hour, depending on experience
