Family in the Mandeville Canyon area (off of Sunset) is seeking an experienced, mature, and reliable nanny to work temporarily this summer, for the months of June and July. The nanny will care for one almost 4 year old, and the family is in need of full charge care either between the hours of 8am to 5pm, or 8am to 1pm until either mom or dad is home for the day. The family is flexible on scheduling (either full time or part time) and this will depend on the right candidate’s availability. Mom and dad are seeking someone with a proven track record of experience working with preschool age children, and can come up with fun, creative activities on a daily basis to keep the child engaged. Must be fully capable of managing the day on your own, able to work independently and oversee all aspects of the child’s routine. Ideal candidates are friendly, proactive, knowledgeable of developmental milestones, creative, and genuinely interested in engaging with children of this age group. MUST be dependable and reliable, ready to work each day with a positive, upbeat attitude. Family is interviewing ASAP!
Duties:
Full charge child care
Light cleaning, tidying, and organization of children’s areas
Coming up with creative activities or ways to engage with the child, ideally something educational and fun
Spending time outdoors, going for walks, discovering nature, arts and crafts, music time, etc
Meal prep for the child (breakfast, lunch, snacks, dinner)
Kitchen clean up
Managing bath and bedtime routines if mom or dad is not present
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm OR 8am to 1pm (9 weeks – June and July)
Compensation: $30/hour+ DOE (take home)
