Job Description: Family in Western Springs is seeking a professional warm, affectionate nanny for their new baby who will be 6 months at the time of start. The family is looking for a partner to grow with their family and someone who views childcare as a long-term career. Position to begin in August.

Schedule/Hours: Guaranteed 40 hours per week. Monday-Thursday 8am-6pm. Family may be able to accommodate a different weekly schedule and/or day off, if preferred.

Compensation: $1000-$1120/week+ holidays, PTO, sick days

Job Details and Responsibilities:

Childcare for one infant.
Responsibilities include all care of the child: feeding, facilitating naps, holding, reading/talking, singing, playing, etc.
Nanny should be knowledgeable regarding developmental milestones, such as sleep schedules, starting solids, crawling, walking, potty training, etc. Nanny will partner with the parents and have strong communication skills regarding best practices, feedback, etc.
Nanny should plan activities to stimulate development and provide enrichment opportunities.
Nanny should be comfortable taking initiative around the home and assist with child-related housekeeping, such as cleaning bottles, sanitizing toys, wiping down counters, baby laundry, etc.
Both parents work a hybrid schedule and may be working from home in a separate office.
Qualifications:

Substantive infant experience required.
Positive attitude and a genuine love for children is a must.
A background in child education/development is ideal, but not a requirement.
Reliable, dependable, and hardworking.
Excellent communication skills and ability to relate well with others.
Safe driving record required. Car is available for use on the job, only if needed.
Family remains COVID cautious given the age of their young child and immunocompromised family members who visit regularly with the family and child. They are seeking a candidate who is also cautious and considerate regarding COVID protocols and safety measures in general.
COVID vaccine + booster, TDAP and the flu shot are requirements of the job.
