Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency is assisting a family in Ballantyne in finding a Full-Time Summer Nanny for their son who is 7 years old. The nanny would typically be needed Monday - Friday 10:00 am - 7:00 pm.

The best nanny for this family would be professional, reliable, very energetic, and engaging. Their son has Autism and has an ABA therapist that works with him for a few hours a day. He is generally well behaved but occasionally has tantrums where he needs a minute or two to calm down. The family is looking for a summer nanny with previous nanny experience with elementary aged children. Any previous Autism or ABA therapy experience or education would be a major plus (the nanny would not be required to provide ABA therapy as they have a therapist that helps their son with ABA therapy). The nanny would be responsible for caring for the child and engaging him in fun activities throughout the day. He enjoys art (e.g., watercolors, sidewalk chalk), playing in the yard, walking, biking and riding in a wagon around the neighborhood, going to parks (e.g. slides, swings and a sandpit in the neighborhood). Self-play with his toys, acting out scenes from his favorite cartoons. He also likes going to the Family Activity Center in the neighborhood, and the community pool on Fridays during the summer. He will spend an hour going down the waterslide before getting tired. The parents are also trying to get him interested in tennis and golf as well. The nanny should be creative in coming up with fun activities to do with him during the summer and keep him engaged and having fun.

Nanny Responsibilities Include:

Meeting daily scheduling needs of the child

Engaging with the child on an age appropriate level

Playing with the child both inside and outside the home

Doing hands on learning activities with the child

Facilitate playdates for their son with neighborhood children

Household Duties Include (Understanding prime responsibility is caring for the child):

Child’s meal prep

Child’s laundry

Unloading/loading the dishwasher

Light tidying up after yourself and the child

Nanny should encourage their son to do easy routine chores for rewards. He likes to sweep, cook (with adult supervision) (e.g., rolling pizza dough, putting sauce, topping on), and help with various tasks.

Pets:

The family has a Cat and a Goldendoodle puppy. Small black and white one that is very shy. The nanny would be responsible for taking the dog out to go potty a few times a day.

Qualifications:

Have at least 3 years of professional nanny experience

Have a college degree or equivalent experience

Have a professional resume
