About the job

Open to ALL US CANDIDATES! Hands-on philanthropic and entrepreneurial parents are searching for a kind-hearted and engaging FT live-in nanny to join their family and provide primary care for their 4-year-old daughter, as well as supporting their three older children, ages 8, 9 and 10. The little girl who will be your primary charge is truly a walking miracle, having undergone a life-saving heart surgery early on in life. She loves to laugh, read, listen to music, play outdoors, buddy up with her brother and sisters, and partake in imaginative play. She may in fact be the happiest child you’ll ever meet and quickly wins the hearts of all those around her. The family’s three older children are empathic, active (soccer, skiing, lacrosse, tennis, sailing, etc.), and love being outdoors.

The general schedule is Mon-Fri from 8:30am-5:30pm (50 hours a week), but you should be flexible for occasional evenings + 2 weekend days per month. Target annual compensation is $80-90K (depending on experience and education) + FULL housing accommodations + access to a vehicle for work and personal use! The family splits time between their two homes; during the school year you will reside on their expansive 5 acre farm in rural Vermont (right outside a ski resort, and 90a minutes from Burlington, VT) and during the summers, at their oceanfront home in a historic seaside town just outside of Boston. At each home you will have a private nanny apartment, on property, but separate from the family to give you your own space to rest and re-charge, and perk – you have a balcony overlooking the ocean!

The family loves being active (if you love skiing and boating you’re in for a treat!), and they also enjoy traveling, so please be up for trips both in the US and abroad! Duties will include primary care of the 4-year-old girl, accompanying her to PT/OT and speech therapy, play groups, and preschool (3 hours daily), all working to help her reach physical and developmental milestones. Additional duties include emptying lunchboxes, doing children’s laundry, making snacks (the parents do most meal prep), driving children to activities (using provided vehicle) and helping with various projects, etc. Mom and dad are very involved in school drop offs and pick ups, as well as assisting with homework and school projects, but always welcome an extra set of hands.

In order to qualify for this role candidates must have 3+ years of experience with excellent references, a pristine driving record, be a strong swimmer, fully vaccinated and boosted against Covid-19, willing to get an annual flu shot (their daughter is immunocompromised), and love animals (they have a dog, a bunch of chickens, and possibly horses soon!). If you’re looking for your dream job this may just be the one!! Interviewing NOW!
