Professional & Proactive Infant Nanny Needed in Nashville - $25/hour! - Job #907
A fun and friendly family relocating to Nashville (The Nations) are excited to find a professional career nanny to provide full-time childcare for their 3-month-old baby starting in late August/early September! They are first-time parents and looking for someone who has experience caring for infants, is knowledgeable on developmental milestones, and can overall help guide them as this is all new to them. They are offering 35-40 guaranteed hours per week depending on what the right candidate prefers. The typical schedule will be Monday-Thursday from 8:30am-4pm and Fridays from 8:30am-1:30pm. Both parents work from home in designated offices and plan to give their nanny the space and autonomy to do their job. They describe themselves as fun and laid back - they are not looking to micromanage and are seeking a nanny who is proactive, confident in their abilities, a good problem solver, and able to take ownership over their role. They encourage outings and would love a nanny who prioritizes getting out and about as much as possible so their little one can explore the world (family vehicle provided for any work-related drives). They are the type of family to be very punctual each day so the nanny can rely on getting off on time, as well as surprising their nanny with extra days off on occasion when they are able to. The compensation package includes $25/hour + paid vacation, paid sick time, and paid holidays. They are looking for someone long-term with a minimum commitment of at least 1 year.

Their ideal candidate is bubbly, friendly, reliable, easy-going, and confident. Someone who is familiar with Moms on Call or is willing to read up on it would be a good fit. They are hoping to create a consistent eating and feeding schedule, while still being flexible as needed. Interested candidates should have an understanding of infant schedules, sleep training, transitioning to solids (including making homemade purees), and planning age-appropriate activities that promote development. The nanny will be responsible for anything and everything related to the baby including laundry, washing/sterilizing bottles, tidying toys, sorting through outgrown clothes, keeping inventory of items and restocking when running low, preparing nutritious meals for the child once on solids, and more (no deep cleaning!!). Their goal is to be able to fully focus on spending quality time with their baby, so a nanny who is comfortable and adept at maintaining all the child-related background work would be a good fit.

They describe their parenting style as not overly strict, flexible, and balanced. They believe in promoting independence by allowing for independent playtime and by fostering children to learn age-appropriate life skills. A healthy blend of engaging/structured activities, outings, and independent/Montessori-style play, is what they are looking for. They are a fun-loving family and would like to find a nanny who is comfortable in a Christian household and instilling those values with their child. Interested candidates must have a minimum of 3+ years of professional nanny experience including recent infant experience.
