Lovely family based in Washington DC during the school year (live out) and Charleston, SC during the summer (accommodations provided) seeks a family assistant for their family (2 children: ages 7 & 9) The ideal candidate takes initiative, is gentle yet firm and maintains an impeccable sense of order and structure in the home. This is a Monday – Friday role from 7am to 7pm with occasional overnights due to work travel. Must be ok with a dog in the home.
Responsibilities
Prepare well-balanced meals for the kids, lots of cooking!
Help with getting kids ready for school (preparing lunch, packing backpacks, getting them dressed)
Grocery shopping, errands etc.
Supervise bath & bedtime when needed
Engage in stimulating, creative activities with the kids when they are around
Reinforce appropriate discipline when needed
Help with homework after school
Always maintain a clean & orderly home
Additional family assistant duties as requested by the principal
Requirements
Strong command of English language; excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Excellent references required from both current and previous employers
Minimum 5 to 7 years related experience working in a private home as a nanny/ family assistant
Exceptionally organized and meticulous
Covid Vaccinated
Legally able to work in the United States
