DC/NYC/BOSTON (NATIONWIDE SEARCH)-High-profile family from Doha, Qatar seeks an experienced TEMPORARY FULL-TIME TRAVEL NANNY to care for their 10.5-month-old baby boy (born January 2022) during their visit to the US from December 2-25th. They will start their trip in DC (Dec. 2-11/12t), travel to NY (Dec. 11-18th), and possibly Boston from December 18th-Christmas Day. They fly home on December 25th which will be a half day. They will be staying in hotels throughout their trip. Nanny will have their own private room. All expenses will be covered by the family.
Hours are from 7am-7pm 7 days per week. There will be two nannies employed to split the hours/days since daily coverage is needed. They will likely be taking one of their nannies from home to travel with them, but it is not guaranteed that they will get their visa in time. In the case that they cannot come, they will be hiring two nannies to split the hours. They are open to a 3.5 day on and 3.5 days off rotational schedule or having a morning and evening nanny. Nanny will be given an allowance prior to their days off and will be paid for all 7 days per week whether or not working each day. A performance-based holiday bonus will also be allotted.
Their son is very energetic and loves to play! He was born with a perinatal lung injury and had to spend 28 days in the NICU. He has since outgrown that issue and has normal, healthy lungs. He has a cow’s milk allergy and may be visiting an allergist in either DC or Boston. He wakes up at 7am, has breakfast and milk, then plays until 9am when he takes a small nap. He plays after his nap and has another meal at 11am. Naps at 12-1pm and wakes up and plays again. He naps again later in the afternoon for 30 minutes and plays, and has a final meal at 4 or 5pm, plays some more, and falls asleep between 7-8 pm. He drinks milk every 3 hours and has 3-4 meals a day.
Duties include any and everything related to the child such as preparing/washing bottles, meal prep, child’s laundry (hotels may have a service), diaper changing, etc. The ideal candidate is playful and supportive! Must be collaborative, flexible, and work well with others, as you will be working alongside another nanny as well as the parents. They seek a trustworthy nanny who can be discrete and confidential. Preference for someone who has prior experience working with international families and understands and appreciates cultural differences, religion, etc. Must be vaccinated for Tdap, COVID, Booster, and influenza for precaution, as their son was born with lung issues at birth. Must be pediatric/infant CPR/First aid certified and have a squeaky-clean background. Pay is flexible for the right candidate depending on experience!
