A loving family in Sherman Oaks, California, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Full-Time Nanny to care for their two young children: a 3-month-old boy and a 7-month-old girl. This position is ideally live-in, with accommodations available in a comfortable pool house, though live-out candidates will also be considered. The role is long-term, requiring 40-50 hours per week, with an anticipated start date in late October or early November 2024.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive and nurturing care for both children, ensuring their safety, health, and overall well-being.
- Engage in age-appropriate activities to stimulate the children’s development, including reading, playtime, and interactive learning.
- Maintain a consistent daily routine, including feeding, napping, and bedtime.
- Support the mother, a stay-at-home mom, in managing the household and children’s needs.
- Assist with light housekeeping related to the children, such as tidying their play areas and doing their laundry.
- Prepare healthy meals and snacks for the children.
- Monitor the boy’s specific needs, as he was born two months premature, ensuring his continued growth and development.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a nanny, especially with infants and toddlers.
- Knowledge of early childhood development and the ability to create a nurturing environment.
- A patient, loving, and proactive approach to childcare.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with the parents.
