RYE, NY (LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY)- Wonderful first-time parents in the NYC suburbs are looking for a FULL-TIME NANNY to love and help care for their 13-month-old son four days per week from 7am-6pm Monday-Tuesday and 10am-9pm Wednesday and Thursday. Their home is a 30-40 minute train ride to and from Manhattan and they live 3 miles from the train station. Thus, they need a nanny who can drive and has a vehicle of their own. A family car will be provided in the rare case that the nanny needs to drive their son.
Mom is a physician and works 3 days per week (Tuesday-Thursday). Dad works in Manhattan, as well as from home in a separate dedicated office. Nanny will be the primary caregiver while mom is working and will be there Mondays when mom is off of work to care for their son while mom runs errands / has appointments and gets things done around the home. She will be in and out of the home.
Primary duties are focused on caring for their son. They seek a nanny who is highly engaging and able to get on the floor and play with him! Someone who enjoys the outdoors and can take him on walks. The ideal candidate is versed in child development and can read to him and work on milestone development/plan developmental activities. He currently naps twice a day. While he is sleeping, they would appreciate someone who can help with light housekeeping including parents’ laundry and very basic meal prep (putting together Blue Apron meals). Meal prep is not a dealbreaker! Care for their son comes first and foremost.
They are an easy-going family and have found that their nanny is one of the most important people in their lives. They seek someone who is reliable and punctual due to parents’ professions. Someone who is engaging and enjoys the outdoors. They put a premium on kindness and lovingness. A plus if you are bilingual (Spanish preferred) but not a deal breaker! They hope to grow their family and would love a nanny who can grow with them!
