A family who recently moved from the UK to Pacific Palisades is seeking a weekend live in nanny to care for their twin 4 year old boys. The family will appreciate the nanny to handle any kid-related tasks, such as organization projects, or making sure their areas are neat and tidy. For the weekends, we would like someone who can come up with fun and creative activities or outings for the boys to attend. Sometimes parents will go out for date night, so you will be responsible for babysitting in the evenings. Movie nights at home, art projects, trips to the zoo or museums, baking, playing outside, swimming, etc are all activities the ideal candidate should be confident with. We are seeking someone who is experienced with this age group (more specifically with twins), has a lot of patience, and the energy to keep up!
The living accommodations include 2 bedrooms — one next to the boy’s room which will be used for sleeping, and another room with an en suite bathroom in a more private area on another side of the house (both will be available to the nanny). During sleeping hours, the nanny will be responsible for the boys, listening incase one of them wakes up and needs comforting. The ideal candidate is incredibly patient, loving, understanding, and can navigate through meltdowns, knowing how to redirect them if they argue, etc. Please be creative and capable of coming up with fun ideas and activities for the boys, offering new ways to keep them happy and engaged.
There is one dog in the home and mom is a vet, so there are animals in and out of the house often — being comfortable with animals is a must!
Schedule: Saturday, 7am to Monday, 7am (live in)
Compensation: $40/hour + DOE, plus daily overnight rate, PTO & sick leave
