A lovely family in the West Village is seeking a fluent Spanish-speaking weekend nanny for their 10-month-old son and almost 4-year-old daughter to begin the first weekend in October. The schedule will typically be Saturdays from 10am-10pm and Sundays 10am-6pm and may vary slightly with events, however, there will be a guarantee of 20 hours. Their home is a 5-minute walk from Path Station in West Village and they reside there from September to May and the role will be live-out with perhaps 1 weekend a month (or less) live-in at their Sag Harbor home. This role will have future potential for live-in during the summer in Sag Harbor if desired (weekends, weekdays or both).
Experience with babies and toddler care is a must, ideally simultaneously. Role will include planning activities, engaging with kids in an active and energetic manner, preparing healthy and balanced meals, ensuring safety of fast moving baby and curious toddler at all times, communicating often with parents about whereabouts and well being of children, providing loving, nurturing and structured care for children, aiding in age-appropriate development like cleaning up after themselves, potty-training, compassionately enforcing good behavior, and reasonable toddler communication. Light home care as related to the children (mainly the children’s laundry, meals, and tidying up after them). The family is open to a mother’s helper with additional responsibilities if candidate background or desire extends to other areas of the home but not required. You do not have to be COVID-vaccinated for this role.
