Young couple with two toddler boys seeks a bright, warm nanny.
Seeking someone energetic, proactive, joyful, eager to read, play, invent games, and be talkative with the baby. Parents are seeking to truly integrate someone who is a team player and will be treated very kindly, respectfully, and supportively in return.
This role is perfect for an individual with a high level of emotional intelligence. Warm, capable, intuitive, knows when to ‘step in’ and ‘step out’ and anticipate needs. Seeking someone adaptable and flexible with positive “can-do” attitude.
Location
Miami, FL with occasional domestic & international travel. We will be traveling every summer and the nanny must join us.
Working Schedule
The schedule is flexible, to be discussed with the right candidate. Potentially, 5-6 days per week, 11hrs a day. Both parents work from home.
Duties include
Offer creative and proactive activities like talking, reading, crafts, playing, sensory play, to stimulate the baby’s mind (this is our biggest priority).
Standard child-care duties including feeding, bathing, dressing, napping, morning and evening routines
Keep baby’s living spaces & clothing clean and tidy.
Cook healthy baby’s solid foods and clean up after meals.
Occasionally, provide evening care (dinner, bath, bedtime) if parents are going out.
Pack all of the baby’s items when we travel together.
If you are willing to cook for the parents in any capacity, please indicate this in your application: it will be highly weighed. Mom is happy to offer teaching, recipes, and guidance for anyone eager to cook.
If you are willing to help with any chores around the house in any capacity, such as folding laundry, unloading the dishwasher, taking out the trash, cleaning surfaces, anything, please indicate this in your application: it will be highly weighed.
Please note this is a family with no other household staff. Cleaners come for a deep clean once a week.
Candidate Requirements
Native Spanish speaker required
At least 2 years of childcare experience
Montessori trained is a big plus.
Possess knowledge about each childhood development stage and be attuned to the child’s developmental needs.
Bonus
Has worked in a nursery, daycare, or school as a teacher is a huge plus.
Informed about children’s nutritional best practices is a plus.
Comfortable swimming with kids is a big plus (we love going in the water).
Master’s degree or university degree in Education, Early Childhood Development, Childhood Psychology, or relevant field is a plus.
Competitive salary, to be determined based on skillset and job scope (whether it’s nanny+cooking+chores, or only nanny)
